STEP BY STEP
Let’s make it.
- Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a tray. Mix the almond meal, cocoa, baking powder and salt, breaking up any lumps.
- Whisk the egg, butter, sugar and vanilla. Stir into the dry mixture and chill for 10 minutes to make the dough easier to shape.
- Divide into 12 balls and flatten slightly on the tray. Leave space around each cookie.
- Bake for 12–16 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are no longer wet. Small cracks may form as the cookies spread.
- Cool on the tray for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack. Divide into 12 servings.
