STEP BY STEP

Let’s make it.

  1. Pat the tofu very dry and cut into 2 cm cubes. Whisk the peanut butter, soy sauce, lemon juice and half the water into a smooth sauce.
  2. Heat the oil in a wide nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu in one layer and cook for 8–10 minutes, turning to brown several sides. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Add the broccoli and remaining water to the pan. Cover and steam for 4–5 minutes, until just tender, then uncover to evaporate any remaining water.
  4. Add the ginger and garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Return the tofu, pour in the peanut sauce and toss over low heat for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Divide into 4 servings and scatter with the sesame seeds. Include all the sauce in the portions.
