STEP BY STEP
Let’s make it.
- Arrange lettuce, cucumber and pepper in a large serving bowl. Mix soy sauce, lemon juice and the measured water separately.
- Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring; tip into a small bowl.
- Add oil and beef to the skillet. Cook for 8–10 minutes, breaking it up, until the beef reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Stir in ginger and garlic for 1 minute. Add the soy-lemon mixture and simmer for 2 minutes to loosen the browned bits.
- Divide the salad into 4 servings. Spoon on the warm beef and all its dressing, then scatter with toasted sesame.
